SJSU had a chance for ending decades long irrelevancy in the 2009-2010 season when CJ Webster was a junior and Chris Oakes a senior and Moses Omolade was a junior and Adrian Oliver was a junior.
But Omolade never became eligible in two years, it was never figured out how Oakes and Webster could play at the same time and Webster and Oliver clashed over the top guy role for the team.
Why wasn’t it figured out how Omolade was still there to be signed? Other coaches obviously knew and stayed away. Why wasn’t San Jose State asking how are we getting him? Red flag, red flag, red flag.
Plenty of teams play two big guys at the same time successfully. Not San Jose State.
It takes a strong coach in order to get his best players to work together. Can’t happen at San Jose State, who couldn’t even get Webster in shape.
Yes, irrelevancy is eternal at least under the leadership of Tom Bowen.
FIRE TOM BOWEN NOW for benign neglect to the student-athletes on the men’s basketball team.
FIRE TOM BOWEN YESTERDAY for benign neglect to the student athletes on the men’s basketball team.
Do it FOR THE PLAYERS.
It’s ABOUT THE PLAYERS.
